Wild South November '27

A 17 Night Yoga Adventure Through Chile & Argentina

Blue Lotus Yoga Adventure | November 6-22 2027 | 17 Nights

Hosted by Blue Lotus Yoga | Package holiday booking and financial protection provided through Travel Counsellors.

Two countries - Argentina & Chile | One extraordinary adventure

There are journeys that you take, and then there are journeys that change the way you move through the world.

This is one of those.

In November 2027, we travel deep into the wild beauty of South America on an extraordinary Blue Lotus Yoga Adventure through Argentina and Chile.

From the seductive rhythm of tango in Buenos Aires to the vast silence of the Atacama Desert. From Mendoza's vineyards beneath the Andes to the glacial wilderness of Patagonia.

This is a journey through contrast, connection and elemental beauty.

And, as with every Blue Lotus Yoga Adventure, yoga is the thread that runs through it all — giving us space to breathe, move, ground and arrive before we step out into the world.

TWO COUNTRIES.

FOUR EXTRAORDINARY LANDSCAPES.

The Itinerary At A Glance...

BUENOS AIRES

7–10 November

Our adventure begins in the vibrant heartbeat of Argentina.

Buenos Aires is a city of grand European architecture, leafy boulevards, colourful neighbourhoods, passionate tango and late-night energy.

We'll discover the city on a private guided tour, travelling from the historic Plaza de Mayo and colonial San Telmo to the colourful streets of La Boca, elegant Recoleta and Palermo, and the modern waterfront of Puerto Madero.

We'll experience the city beyond the sightseeing too — with an evening of tango and time to wander, eat, drink and soak up the atmosphere.

We'll also escape the city for a full-day adventure into the Tigre Delta, travelling by boat through its winding waterways before discovering the historic town of San Isidro.

Buenos Aires will be our introduction to South America: vibrant, sensual, energetic and full of life.

MENDOZA

10–14 November

From the city, we travel west to Mendoza, Argentina's legendary wine region and the birthplace of Malbec.

Here, the pace changes.

Vineyards stretch beneath the snow-capped Andes, long lunches invite us to linger and wine becomes part of the landscape.

We'll spend a full day exploring Mendoza's wine country, visiting carefully selected vineyards and enjoying a gourmet lunch — a day designed as much around savouring as sightseeing.

And then we'll venture deeper into the Andes.

Our full-day journey towards Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas, takes us through spectacular mountain landscapes, past Potrerillos Dam and the Cordón del Plata, through Uspallata and into Aconcagua Provincial Park.

We'll have the opportunity to walk to the Horcones Lagoon viewpoint, taking in extraordinary views of Aconcagua's immense South Face, before continuing to the remarkable natural formation of Puente del Inca.

Wine. Mountains. Vast skies. Time to breathe.

ACROSS THE ANDES TO SANTIAGO

14–16 November

One of the great journeys of the adventure begins as we leave Mendoza and cross the Andes into Chile.

Rather than flying, we'll travel by luxury bus, allowing the landscape itself to become part of the experience.

This is a spectacular route of towering mountains, deep valleys, tunnels and dramatic Andean scenery.

Arriving in Santiago, we'll settle into the elegant Bidasoa Hotel, with time to relax and explore before discovering the Chilean capital on a guided sightseeing experience.

A change of country.
A change of landscape.
And another chapter begins.

THE ATACAMA DESERT

16–18 November

Then we travel north into another world.

From Calama we'll journey into San Pedro de Atacama, gateway to one of the most extraordinary landscapes on earth.

The Atacama is a place of extremes — vast salt plains, volcanic mountains, ancient rock formations, high-altitude lagoons and skies almost impossibly clear.

We'll take our time to acclimatise to the altitude before exploring.

By day, we'll discover the surreal landscapes of Moon Valley and Death Valley, with enormous dunes, salt formations and geological formations shaped by wind and time.

We'll rise before sunrise to witness the extraordinary El Tatio Geysers, where steam rises from the earth as the first light reaches the high Andes.

And then, when darkness falls, we'll experience one of the true highlights of the journey:

THE ATACAMA NIGHT SKY

The Atacama is renowned for having some of the clearest skies on Earth.

We'll take part in a guided astronomical experience, beginning at the Meteorite Museum before heading into the desert to explore the night sky using specialist telescopes.

Planets, galaxies, constellations and deep-sky objects become visible in extraordinary detail.

Warm drinks. Desert silence. Stars overhead.

A reminder that sometimes the most powerful experiences are the ones where we simply look up.

PATAGONIA

18–22 November

And finally, we head south.

Wild. Vast. Untamed. Patagonia.

Our base is Puerto Natales, gateway to the spectacular landscapes of southern Chile.

We'll spend a full day exploring Torres del Paine National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve famous for its immense granite peaks, turquoise lakes, waterfalls and landscapes shaped by ice, wind and time.

We'll visit Milodón Cave, discover panoramic viewpoints across the park and take in the extraordinary Torres del Paine, Cuernos del Paine, Lake Pehoé, Salto Grande and Grey Lake.

There will be time to walk, breathe, photograph, explore — and simply stand still in a landscape that feels almost too vast to comprehend.

And then we'll take to the water.

Our final great adventure is a full-day journey through the Patagonian fjords, sailing towards the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers.

Along the way, we may encounter sea lions, cormorants, condors and other wildlife before reaching the dramatic walls of ancient blue ice.

We'll disembark for a short walk towards Serrano Glacier before enjoying a traditional Patagonian lunch at an estancia.

A fitting final chapter to our journey through the wild south.

The Blue Lotus Thread

This isn't a sightseeing tour with a little yoga added on.

Yoga is the thread that connects the journey.

Wherever possible, we'll begin our days with a morning practice — sometimes overlooking a vineyard, sometimes beneath a vast desert sky, sometimes surrounded by mountains.

These practices will be adaptable and welcoming rather than demanding.

Some mornings will be energising.
Some grounding.
Some quiet.

There will also be plenty of space to rest, wander, explore and enjoy the places we're visiting.

Because this isn't about rushing from one experience to the next.

It's about being fully there for the experience we're having.

Is This Adventure For You?

Wild South is for those who want more from travel than simply seeing the sights.

For those who love beautiful places, good food, wine, culture and adventure.

For those who want to move their bodies, breathe deeply, laugh with new friends and experience the world with curiosity.

You do not need to be an experienced yogi.

You don't need to be particularly bendy.

You simply need to be open to adventure and comfortable travelling as part of a small group.

There will be walking, early starts, flights, transfers and changes in altitude — but also plenty of moments to slow down, rest and enjoy.

This is an adventure.

It is not a luxury resort holiday.

And that's precisely what makes it special.

Yoga. Travel. Food. Culture. Connection.

This is travel with a little more soul.

Financial Protection

This retreat is sold as a package holiday through Travel Counsellors.

Financial protection is provided in accordance with UK Package Travel Regulations.

Full details of the protection applicable to your booking will be provided during the booking process and within your booking confirmation.

Important Info

We strongly recommend that all guests arrange comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.

In the unlikely event that I (Jill Amison) am unable to attend due to illness, injury or circumstances beyond my reasonable control, a suitably qualified and experienced replacement yoga teacher will lead the yoga programme.

All other elements of the retreat will continue as planned.

Full booking terms, payment schedules and cancellation conditions will be provided before you confirm your reservation.
