March 1st–8th 2027
Arctic Stillness: Yoga, Wildness & Wonder in Norway’s Lofoten Islands
Hosted by Blue Lotus Yoga | Package holiday booking and financial protection provided through Travel Counsellors.
Some places stay with you long before you’ve even arrived.
Perhaps it’s the thought of snow-covered mountains rising from Arctic seas. The possibility of witnessing the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. The pull of slowing down, breathing more deeply and stepping away from the noise of everyday life.
Join me for an unforgettable five-night Arctic adventure in Norway’s remote and breathtaking Lofoten Islands.
This is not your typical yoga retreat.
Set amongst dramatic mountains, fishing villages and wild Nordic landscapes, Arctic Stillness has been carefully designed for those seeking something deeper than escape — an experience that feels immersive, grounding and alive.
A chance to exchange busy schedules for slower rhythms. To reconnect with nature, movement and yourself.
To experience the extraordinary simplicity of life in the Arctic Circle.
Your Artic Home
Our home for five nights is Trevarefabrikken, one of Norway’s most distinctive boutique properties.
Once a working fish factory, it has been beautifully transformed into a warm and welcoming gathering place where industrial heritage meets contemporary Nordic design.
Think reclaimed timber, original architectural details, panoramic views across the harbour and mountains, and spaces designed for connection, reflection and rest.
This is a place with a story.
And the perfect setting for our own.
Yoga Movement & Deep Rest
Each morning begins gently.
Through yoga, breathwork, meditation and somatic movement practices, Jill will guide you back to yourself.
With nearly 25 years of teaching experience, her approach blends intelligent movement, nervous system regulation, embodied awareness and practical wisdom for modern life.
Classes are suitable for a range of experience levels and are designed to support you exactly where you are.
There is no pressure to achieve.
Only an invitation to listen.
To move.
To breathe.
To arrive.
Beyond The Yoga
The adventure extends far beyond the mat.
Together we’ll experience the landscapes, traditions and rhythms that make Lofoten one of the world’s most remarkable destinations.
Imagine:
- Snowshoeing through silent Arctic wilderness beneath starlit skies.
- Gathering around fires with coffee, stories and good company.
- Learning about Norway’s rich fishing heritage through authentic sea-to-table experiences.
- Exploring local food traditions and regional flavours.
- Watching the night sky in anticipation of the Northern Lights.
- Warming tired muscles in an oceanfront sauna before an invigorating dip in the Vestfjord (bookable directly with the hotel at an extra charge of 250 NOK / approx. £19.21 per person for a public 1hr 20 min session)
The landscape itself becomes part of the practice.
The cold air sharpens the senses.
The silence settles the mind.
The wildness reminds you how alive you are.
