Root & Rise:
Women's pelvic Floor & Core Workshop
Women's Pelvic Floor & Core Workshop
Sunday 4th October 2026 | 10am–3pm | IQ Therapies, Alsager
"Strong women aren't built from the outside in. They grow from the inside out."
Discover the foundation of strength you were never taught.
Your pelvic floor is far more than "just another muscle."
It is the hidden foundation that supports every step you take, every breath you breathe and every movement you make. Working in harmony with your diaphragm, deep core, spine and hips, it forms an incredible support system that influences your posture, balance, bladder health, confidence and overall wellbeing.
Yet for many women, this remarkable part of the body remains misunderstood.
Whether you've experienced childbirth, abdominal surgery, the changes of perimenopause or menopause, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, cancer treatment, or simply feel that your body no longer responds as it once did, this workshop will help you reconnect with your body in an entirely new way.
This is not about fear.
This is not about endless Kegels.
This is about understanding your body with compassion, curiosity and confidence.
You'll discover why true pelvic health requires much more than isolated muscle exercises and how lasting change comes from combining:
- Breath
- Awareness
- Functional movement
- Mobility
- Stability
- Nervous system regulation
- Whole-body integration

What we'll explore:
- Learn what a healthy pelvic floor actually is, what it does, and why it plays such an essential role in your everyday life.
- The anatomy of the female pelvis and pelvic floor - Why the pelvic floor is not one muscle, but a beautifully integrated group of muscles, including the pubococcygeus complex -
- How your pelvic floor works alongside your diaphragm, deep abdominal muscles, spine, hips and legs - The intimate relationship between breath, posture and movement
- Why things change We'll gently explore some of the many reasons pelvic floor function can change throughout life, including: - Pregnancy and childbirth - Perimenopause and menopause -Abdominal and pelvic surgery - Hysterectomy - Endometriosis - Fibroids and ovarian cysts - Cancer treatment - Persistent stress - Breath-holding patterns - Posture and movement habits - Hypermobile or overly tight pelvic floor muscles
- Why Kegels aren't the whole answer
Your experience includes:
- A beautifully designed workshop handbook to support your learning
- Guided home practice videos
- Simple exercises you can confidently continue at home
- Practical resources to revisit whenever you need them
- Plenty of time for questions and discussion within a supportive, intimate group
- Refreshments and a welcoming Blue Lotus atmosphere
